Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was established in 1975. SSC Exam is conducted to recruit candidates for Group B and Group C posts in the various ministries, and departments of the Government of India. There are seven different Staff Selection Commission (SSC Exam) such as SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL), SSC Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL), SSC Junior Engineer (JE), SSC Central Police Organisation (CPO), SSC General Duty (GD), SSC Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS), and SSC Stenographer Exam.
As per SSC Notification Junior Engineer (Civil, Electrical & Mechanical) Examination (2020, Paper-I) online registration was scheduled from October 1st 2020 to October 31st 2020. The date of the exam is scheduled from March 22nd, 2021 to March 25th, 2021. As per SSC Notification Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Examination 2020 (Tier-I) online registration was from November 6th 2020 to December 26th 2020.
The date of the SSC Exam (CHSL) was scheduled from April 12th to April 27th 2021. As per SSC Notification Combined Graduate Level Examination 2020 (Tier-I) online registration was from December 21st 2020 – January 25th 2021 and the SSC Exam (CGL) was scheduled from May 29th, 2021 to June 7, 2021. Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination, 2020 online registration was from 25th March to 10th May 2021 and the examination was scheduled from 2nd to 25th August 2021. Stenographer Grade ‘C’ & ‘D’ Examination –2020, online registration was from October 10th 2020 to November 4th 2020 and the date of examination was scheduled from March 29th, 2021 – March 31st, 2021.
SSC CGL exam is conducted over 4 different tiers namely Tier I, Tier II, Tier III, and Tier IV. Tier IV examination consists of a Data Entry Skill set or computer proficiency test. Tier III consists of Descriptive paper. Tier II mains exam tests candidates on English language,statistics, Quantitative aptitude, general studies which is subdivided into finance & accounting, economics & governance. Tier I is the preliminary examination which tests the candidates general awareness, quantitative aptitude, general intelligence, english comprehension, and reasoning.
SSC CGL exam is conducted to recruit eligible candidates for various posts such as Junior Statistical Officer in Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation, Auditor in Offices of CAG, Tax Assistant in Central Board of Direct Taxes, Tax Assistant in Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, Assistant of Enforcement Officer in the Department of Enforcement Directorate, Department of Revenue, Inspector of Central Excise, Inspector of Income Tax,Sub Inspector in National Investigation Agency (NIA), Inspector in Central Bureau of Narcotics, Assistant Sections Officer in Intelligence Bureau, Central Secretariat Service, Inspector in Department of Posts, Sub Inspector in Central Bureau of Investigation.
The age limit for the post of Assistant Section Officer in CSS Department is 20 – 30 years. The age limit for the post of Assistant Section Officer in Intelligence Bureau is not more than 30 Years. The age limit for the post of Tax Assistant in CBEC Department is 20-27 years. The age limit for the post of Sub Inspector in the Narcotics Department is 18-25 years. The age limit for the post of Sub Inspector in CBI is 20-30 years. The age limit for the post of Sub Inspector in NIA is upto 30 years. The age limit for the post of Junior Statistical Officer in the Ministry of Statistics & Prog. Implementation is upto 32 years.The age limit for the post of Assistant Enforcement Officer in Directorate of Enforcement, Department of Revenue is not more than 30 years.
